Trauma Care Capacity Assessments

Existing tools to evaluate surgical care and trauma systems in low-resource settings often contain a large number of variables that may limit their feasibility and efficacy in low-resource conflict settings. In addition, these tools do not take into account damage control capabilities, which can be relevant for explosive ordnance casualties. EXTRACCT has developed a revised tool, the International Assessment of Capacity for Blast Trauma (INTACT-B) to address this limitation.
