EXTRACCT’s Casualty Data Initiative

The Explosive Weapons Trauma Care Collective (EXTRACCT) is launching a Casualty Data Initiative aimed at supporting authors from low-resource conflict settings with their research.

Authors from LMICs may face a multitude of barriers when publishing their research, from limited funding opportunities to language barriers. These and other factors including inconsistent journal practices contribute to significant evidence gaps regarding the care of local casualties in low-resource conflict settings (LRCS).

As part of our commitment to improving evidence-based casualty care in LRCS, we are launching the EXTRACCT Casualty Data Initiative, a free service offering English proofreading and research support for researchers in low-resource conflict settings.
